Dørvika

Dørvika is located approximately 6 km northeast of the center of Forsand on the south side of Lysefjorden and is known for having the finest beach in the area. The beach attracts many swimmers and boaters during the summer months.

It is known for being the finest beach in the fjord, drawing many visitors during the summer months. The beach is surrounded by beautiful pine forests, and a small stream runs through the area. Rare mosses also thrive on the slope above.

Since the 1600s, Dørvika has been inhabited and was originally a croft under Vika. Today, the area is managed by Ryfylke Friluftsråd. The beach is equipped with restrooms and is accessible by both car and boat. Aside from swimming, Dørvika is popular among kayakers, and tour cyclists who love to explore the beautiful surroundings.
