Lysefjorden Lodge

Lysefjorden Lodge is situated at the head of the Lysefjord and is a superb base for hiking Kjerag and other outdoor activities in the area.

Lysefjorden Lodge is a great place to be in order to explore Lysefjorden. It connects fjord to mountain and is a great base for hikes to the famous Kjerag and Flørli stairs and is situated mid-way in the Lysefjord Circuit trail. Lysebotn is surrounded by spectacular landscapes, with the fjord in the West and highlands in the East. The opportunities for great nature experiences are endless, featuring world-famous icons, peaceful trails in the Lyse valley, vast alpine moorland, and plenty of opportunities for wild swimming! 

Lysefjorden Lodge is open from mid-May to mid-October. Enjoy being served tasty meals in the restaurant and spend the evening relaxing in loft lounge. Everyone is welcome to have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the restaurant. There is a kiosque selling a selection of snacks, basic provisions for your hike and souvenirs. Lysefjorden Lodge offers accomodation in private en-suite rooms, as well as beds in dormitories. There is one room with wheelchair access, and rooms where you can bring your dog. The lodge is ideal for families, with large gardens space, toys and a trampoline. The lodge was refurbished in 2021 and is now one of the most colourful lodges of the Norwegian Trekking Association!
