The tour starts in the heart of Stavanger's harbour, Vågen, just adjacent to the fish market, Fisketorget. The boat ride starts gently so that everyone has time to settle in and familiarise themselves with their surroundings. After several minutes, the skipper will increase the RIB's horsepower until the boat reaches a comfortable cruising speed of about 35 knots.

En route to the Lysefjord you'll pass several idyllic places in the region's archipelago such as Flataskjæret, Kalvøy, Teistholmen and Tingholmen, where porpoises are often spotted. You'll also pass several salmon farms in Høgsfjord. In this area, there are sea eagle nests, and we often spot the impressive birds as they glide over the mountaintops. Others can be seen perched on outcroppings, waiting for their next meal. After passing under the Lysefjord bridge, the highlights of the tour await, including Vagabond’s Cave, Pulpit Rock, and the Hengjane falls.
