You’ll take a bus from Stavanger on a coastal ride through the Sirdal Valley. Here, you’ll see the picturesque mountain region southwestern Norway is known for. There are year-round outdoor activities, including varied walking terrain.
There will be no doubt when you’re on Lysevegen, a popular tourist road in Ryfylke. You’ll begin by traveling through an 1,100 meter (3,608 foot) tunnel before approaching a series of 27 hairpin bends.
In Lysebotn you’ll board a boat for a cruise on the Lysefjord. Get your camera out as you pass by famous sites like Preikestolen, Fantahålå and Hengjanefossen.
Practical Information
The bus departs from Byterminalen track 6 at 07:45 a.m. Please meet 10 minutes ahead of time.
No meals are included in the ticket. It is possible to buy food on board the fjord boat.
The first and only stop on the journey is in Lysebotn where you change from bus to boat.
We recommend a windproof jacket for the fjord cruise so you can enjoy the view on deck in any weather.
The boat will not make a complete stop at the usual photo stops on the Lysefjord.The boat will sail slowly past Preikestolen, Fantahålå and Hengjanefossen.
