La industria minera atrajo la contrataci\u00f3n de trabajadores locales y extranjeros, incluidos mineros alemanes y de otras nacionalidades. La mina &quot;Enighetens Kobberv\u00e6rk&quot; se fund\u00f3 en 1764, pero al cabo de unos a\u00f1os, los propietarios discreparon y el transporte del mineral a la fundici\u00f3n de Hjelmeland se volvi\u00f3 demasiado costoso.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la \u00e9poca minera, hubo mucha actividad en Lastabotn. Los trabajadores extranjeros fueron bien recibidos en el fiordo, y algunos incluso se casaron con mujeres de la zona. Pero cuando se cerr\u00f3 la miner\u00eda, muchos se trasladaron a otras comunidades mineras. Los intereses ingleses reanudaron la miner\u00eda en 1868, pero nuevamente sin \u00e9xito. En 1915, los habitantes de Stavanger probaron suerte en la miner\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n sin mucho \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda, los t\u00faneles de la mina est\u00e1n cerrados, pero a\u00fan son
