Nach einigen guten Anstiegen zwischen den T\u00e4lern von Sirdal und Hunnedalen geht es bergab nach Byrkjedal. In diesem spektakul\u00e4ren, von Gletschern geformten Tal herrscht jedoch oft Gegenwind. N\u00f6rdlich von Hunnedalen liegt das Landschaftsschutzgebiet Frafjordheiane, Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr viele sch\u00f6ne Bergwanderungen \u2013 im Sommer wie im Winter. Die Fahrt hinunter nach Byrkjedal ist wundersch\u00f6n. Steile Bergh\u00e4nge s\u00e4umen den malerischen Fluss Dirdal. Gro\u00dfe Felsbrocken zeugen stumm von der letzten Eiszeit. Byrkjedal ist ein kleiner Knotenpunkt f\u00fcr Reisende aus verschiedenen Richtungen. Hier kann man sich entspannen, die Natur genie\u00dfen, gut essen und eine erholsame Nacht verbringen, bevor es zur\u00fcck in die Zivilisation
